Let's Dance!!!
Can you dance like a Ghanaian? Can you flex both arms repeatedly and cross your arms over your chest signaling your possession over the land like an Ashanti dancing the traditional Adowa dance? can you twist one leg while moving your upper body at the same time like the boys in Tema dancing the azonto? Or can you Al Qaeda like the teenagers in Accra? Don't worry, with practice, you will understand. Dancing plays a very big role in our culture in Ghana. Not only do we dance to have fun, but dance moves in Ghanaian dances are used as a way of communication.During Adowa, a man can put his hand over his finger, slyly asking his lady dance partner if she is married.
